Troll priests are one of the most versatile classes for roleplaying for this reason. Mages: Troll mages can be seen in two lights. On one hand is a fire or frost shaman, but other troll mages are those that left their tribes behind, to study among the forsaken or to uncover ancient arcane secrets. Paladin:Druids draw on the primal power of life and nature and while to power does seem to have a will, it seems less sentient than the spirits the shaman call on. So no I do not think druids can loose their power the same way shaman can. That being said there are ways to "loose" their powers.
